This is the river running from the tallest waterfall in Iceland. It measures 198 meters tall (roughly 650 feet) and is very powerful. It is called Glymur. To see it you need to hike up the mountain and watch it from above where it plunges into the canion. I decided to walk through the canion and see how far I would get. The river was very harsh so I only managed to go about half way in, but I could still see the mist from the falls further in. You really do feel small in a place like this.
I plan to do many more paintings from this canion.
